Text Message Settings Guide

This guide explains how to use the Message Settings page to manage your automated text messages.

Overview of the Message Settings Page

The Message Settings page allows you to view, edit, and create new text message templates. Below is an image of the interface:

Message Settings Page Overview

The page is divided into sections for existing messages and a section to add a new message.

Managing Existing Messages

Each existing message is displayed in its own card. For example, "Massage Treatment" or "Spinal Adjustment Treatment".

1. Viewing and Editing Message Name:

The name of the message (e.g., "Massage Treatment") is displayed in an editable field at the top of its card. You can click into this field to change the name.

2. Viewing and Editing Message Content:

The body of the message is shown in a text area. You can see placeholders like {FirstName}, {AppointmentTime}, {FullAddress}, and {PhoneNumber}. These placeholders will be replaced with actual client and appointment data when the message is sent.
You can directly edit the content in this text area.

3. Updating a Message:

After making changes to the message name or content, click the Update button (with a save icon ) to save your changes.

4. Reordering Messages:

To change the order in which messages appear, you can use the drag handle icon () located to the left of the "Message" title on each card. Click and hold this icon, then drag the message card to your desired position in the list. Release the mouse button to drop it into place. The new order should be saved automatically, or there might be a general "Save Order" button on the page if applicable.

5. Deleting a Message:

Next to the "Message" title in each card, there is a close icon (). Clicking this icon will likely prompt you to confirm before deleting the message template.

Adding a New Message

At the bottom of the page, there is a "New Message" section.

New Message Section
1. Message Name:

Enter a descriptive name for your new message template in the "Message name" input field.

2. Message Content:

Type the content of your new message in the text area labeled "Enter your message here...". Remember to use placeholders where needed (e.g., {FirstName}, {AppointmentTime}).

3. Saving the New Message:

Once you have filled in the name and content, click the Add New button (with a plus icon ) to save the new message template.

By following these steps, you can effectively manage your text message templates for different types of appointments or communications.
